1. The Assistant

Tony makes a bet that he can do just as good a day's work in a local department store as any of its long-term staff.
2. The Eye-Witness
Thursday 10th January 1963
Standing in his regular spot outside the bank, Tony is eye-witness to an armed robbery. Sort of. His attempts to involve himself in the case soon backfire.
3. Shooting Star
Thursday 17th January 1963
Spotted by an avant-garde film director, Tony is plucked from obscurity and taken to star in his latest picture, a gritty drama about the stresses of a family with an argumentative husband/father.
4. The Girl
Thursday 24th January 1963
When a pretty young nurse stops and asks Tony's assistance with her footwear, he finds himself immediately infatuated, but forgets to ask her name or anything else about her.
5. The Man On The Corner

When Tony believes he's seen a pair of spies exchange information just feet from his pavement spot he is quick to do his duty and report to the police and secret service, but neither body finds his tale credulous...
6. The Memory Test

Approached by a researcher for a television programme that tells interesting and prominent peoples' life stories, Tony is tasked with remembering a Wing Commander he served under during the war - for if he has a good tale to tell, he could appear on the screen himself!
7. The Early Call

Tony needs to be awake no later than 7 am, but fears there's a strong chance he'll sleep in. Precautionary measures are called for.
8. The Craftsman

Watching an instructional do-it-yourself programme through the television rental shop's window, Tony's pomposity gets the better of him - and a frustrated, hen-pecked husband who happens to be passing by is soon hiring his assistance for help in his own home!
9. The Night Out

Waking up rather the worse for wear, Tony has no memory of the night just gone, nor any recognition of his surroundings. However, the mess of discarded bottles glasses and party streamers - plus a beautiful blonde asleep in the bedroom next door - convinces him he must have had a very good time indeed.
10. The Politician
Thursday 7th March 1963
After meeting a one-man political party attempting to give a speech and muster support on the street, Tony decides he rather fancies his own chances.
11. The Reporter
Thursday 14th March 1963
Having sat next to a local newspaper reporter to watch a boxing match, Tony feels he could quite easily become a journalist. Visiting the paper's editor, he is dispatched to cover a wedding - but has aspirations considerably higher!
12. The Writer
Thursday 21st March 1963
Tony fancies his luck as a comedy writer after bumping into a popular television comedian in a pub, and gets swiftly to work on a hot new script.
13. The Escort
Thursday 28th March 1963
Whilst pawning his watch, Tony learns about the lesser-spoken world of the male escort - educated, high-class company for elegant single women about town - and decides it sounds right up his street.
