Andie MacDowell, talking about her new Netflix series Maid, says, "It was so much fun but so challenging for me because I have never played a character like that before. It was great to do something different and to show people what I am capable of."
Asked if playing her real-life daughter's on-screen mother was easy, she says, "It wasn't easy because she was so mean and cruel and horrible to her daughter. It was interesting that my daughter suggested me for the role and at first, I thought, 'My god, does she see me like that?' Of course, she doesn't but it was a little intimidating!"
Talking about the moment she realised she was a movie star, Andie says, "I was struggling super hard to be taken seriously and to get jobs and then I got Sex, Lies, And Videotape, which was a big moment in my life. People changed their perspective overnight of who I was. I went from a nobody undesirable to someone who didn't have to audition. It was crazy."
Jodie Comer, talking about The Last Duel, which tells the same story from the perspective of each of the three main characters, says "It was playful and confusing because we were shooting takes simultaneously. You never normally have to think of another character's view of you, it's not really any concern of yours so I had to constantly be thinking about what everyone needed from me. It was amazing seeing it all cut together."
Asked about starring in her first period film, she says, "It is a dream. I had a moment on set when I had a flash back to the day, I first met my agent and when she asked what it was, I wanted to do I said, 'I want to be in period films. I want to be like Keira Knightley.' And it's kind of happening, which is really nice."
Billy Porter, talking about his extraordinary red-carpet outfits, says, "It's fun and this is who I am. I grew up in the black church in America which is a fashion show. It was all about what you looked like. I have only ever known dressing up and I do it every day. It makes me feel better and It changes the narrative for the day for me."
Asked about Pose, he says, "It's a gift. I have been blessed to be given the opportunity to remind the world of the trauma of the time we lived through, and that gay black people exist. We need to collectively heal, and Pose is that for me. It has been the greatest time of my life and career."
Talking about his new single Children, he says, "Music truly represents my truth that I am out and black."
Daisy Haggard, talking about the inspiration for her BBC comedy drama Back To Life, says: "It came from so many things but mainly the idea that society vilifies women when they do something wrong; they are either an angel or the devil and that fascinates me. And, I also had to move back home, and my dad would tell me how to load the dishwasher and I wanted to kill him!"
Asked about working alongside Matt LeBlanc in Episodes, she says, "He invited us all for drinks and I was really nervous as I hadn't been to the house of anyone that famous before. I didn't really know what to do so I got dropped at the gates and then realised it was a really long driveway. I was in full 'Daisy doesn't fit in Hollywood' mode and was talking to myself and gesticulating as I walked to the house with no shoes on. When Matt opened the door he said, 'What the hell were you doing?' He had watched everything on the CCTV camera!"
Texas performs Unbelievable live in the studio before Sharleen joins Graham for a chat about their 10th album and upcoming tour.
