Further details
Graham's set of easy to remember rules for any celebrity thinking about appearing on the red sofa include: make a good impression, come with a party trick, show an interest in your fellow guests and, most importantly of all, get there on time, be famous and tell a good story!
Using classic clips from The Graham Norton Show of some of the world's biggest stars to illustrate his advice, Graham also hears the personal thoughts of some of his favourite guests. Ricky Gervais, Miriam Margolyes, Dame Joan Collins, Jack Whitehall and Dame Julie Walters share their thoughts on how they face the challenge of the most prestigious sofa in television.
Miriam Margolyes[//p] says, "I think I have been asked on because I make people laugh and because I'm truthful and I talk dirty!"
Jack Whitehall says, "I've been on it eight times, which suggests my main virtue is availability."
Ricky Gervais says, "I live locally and it starts filming at 7pm - my drinking zone, which coincides with work, fun and wine. That's the reason I do it!"
Julie Walters says, "I do love Graham and it does feel like a party. You know you're safe with Graham."

Our Graham has become the king of UK chat by turning his big red couch into a chemistry set, placing Hollywood A-listers cheek-by-jowl with domestic celebs to see what unexpected reactions result. In this rather gratuitous special, Norton offers a handy checklist for potential guests to help them get with the programme, while sofa veterans Joan Collins, Ricky Gervais and Miriam Margolyes reflect on past appearances.
