Further details
Daniel, asked about Spectre being the most expensive Bond film ever, says, "Sam (Mendes) set something in motion with Skyfall and we made a lot of money on that movie - it was very successful, which is a high-class problem to have but we had to make this one better. We just wanted to make the best film we could which meant going to the best locations and making it as glamorous as we could - we threw the kitchen sink at it." Asked about the great reviews, he says, "It's just a relief."
And, on whether the success of the film means that so much money will be thrown at him he will have to reprise the role, he says, "I'll genuinely say that I have never done any job for the money. I can't think about another one right at the moment because we have literally just finished this one. Now all I care about it getting the film in front of an audience. But, we'll see."
Talking about the tough time he was given by critics when he was originally cast as Bond, he says, "You can't please everybody. At the time I just ducked and got on with it. There's always speculation and excitement around a Bond movie and people have different opinions." Asked if it is irksome to read speculation about who might be the next 007 while he is actually filming, he says, "I just ignore it and don't get involved."
Daniel confirms the production was shut down for a couple of weeks due to an injury, "I knackered my knee. Sadly the bit when I did it wasn't in the film. It was really a shame. I had to have surgery but it worked out quite well because everyone got a two week rest - it was an eight month shoot so we were all tired out." Asked about other injuries he's sustained making the Bond films, he says, "I've had my right shoulder re-constructed, my right and left knees operated on and my thumb hurts!"
Asked about the perks of playing 007 he says, "I get treated very, very, very well and I have to keep my feet on the ground otherwise it would really go to my head," adding jokingly, "More than it's gone to my head already!"
Revealing very little about the plot, Daniel says, "Bond discovers something from his past, gets a message from the past, goes rogue, gets together with a few women, drives a nice car, gets in a few fights and hurts his knee a bit! That's all I've got." Adding, "In Skyfall we delved into Bond's character and we wanted to round out the story."
Asked about being known around the world, even in the most remote places, he says, "It's crazy. I can't get my head around it at all."
Naomie, revealing she hasn't yet seen the film, says, "I'm waiting for the world premiere to see it with my family." Asked about all the amazing locations in which Daniel filmed, she says, "I went nowhere, nowhere at all. Last time I got three months in Turkey. This time I just got Pinewood!"
Asked how appearing in 007 has changed her life, she says, "It hasn't. I can go on the tube, the buses, I can sit under a poster of myself and nobody knows me at all," adding jokingly, "It's a little disappointing actually."
Revealing that she didn't think she would get into the movie, she said, "I auditioned for the role of a Bond Girl for a laugh. I thought there were thousands of people going for it and I didn't think I had a chance in hell."
Asked if she will continue in Bond films as Moneypenny, she says, "I hope so. Fingers crossed. I would definitely like to."
Christoph, in his first British chat show appearance, talks about his career and finding global fame relatively recently, "When I was young I tried to crack America but after being a waiter for two years I decided it wasn't for me and I went home. I let the dream go and put it on the backburner. I was extremely frustrated."
Talking about being discovered by Quentin Tarantino, he says, "He changed my life. He wrote the stuff that he offered me to win an Oscar with."
Sam joins Graham for a chat before performing the world live-exclusive of Spectre theme song and hit single, Writing's On The Wall.
Talking about wanting to write the song, they say, "I thought it a dream to do it and I was cocky enough to write an email with '007' in the subject line to my agent asking, 'Is there was any chance I could do this ever? I don't care if it's this year or in 34 years, I'd love to do it.' And it happened."
Sam says of their song, "I am a sensitive writer and Bond is strong character. Hopefully it will make more sense when you see the movie."
Revealing that they've only sung the song once before tonight's performance, they say, "I was scared because it's horrible to sing as it's so high. It's dreadful."
And finally, Graham pulls the lever on more foolhardy audience members brave enough to sit in the Red Chair.
