Alison and Mike hit a new obstacle to nailing down the next event booking, which supportive yet straight-talking event planner Martin informs them is the only thing standing in the way of booking their first potential client, Claire.

As Martin stalls the viewing as long as he can, Alison and Mike are faced with an almost impossible task with very limited time. But their mission is stymied when the Captain's past threatens to be unearthed, and he wildly protests at the couple's endeavours.

Meanwhile, unsympathetic to Mike and Alison's plight, Thomas and Julian battle it out over how the ghosts will spend their evening, Lady Button is confused by urges she hasn't felt before, and an old friend of Kitty's reappears. Robin meanwhile has his beliefs thoroughly challenged.

Through all this chaos, Pat tries to support Alison by occupying the ghosts and keeping them from getting underfoot - but is he up to the task?
