Last One Laughing UK attracts over 6m viewers

Last One Laughing UK, which launched on Amazon's Prime Video platform on 20th March, has picked up over 6 million viewers according to audience viewing figures.
Broadcast reports that 6.1m viewers watched the show in the first 28 days.
The statistic confirms Last One Laughing UK is now one of Amazon's biggest UK television hits, sitting behind Clarkson's Farm (7.7m).
The format, which sees 10 comedians aiming to make each other laugh while not laughing themselves, is based on an international hit format. Hosted by Jimmy Carr with Roisin Conaty, the first series featured Bob Mortimer, Daisy May Cooper, Joe Lycett, Judi Love, Rob Beckett, Sara Pascoe, Lou Sanders, Joe Wilkinson, Harriet Kemsley and Richard Ayoade.
Broadcast notes: "Zeppotron and Initial-produced LOL had entertained 2.8m viewers for its opening episode after seven days, behind Clarkson's Farm's 5.1m at launch.
"LOL also drew 5.3m for its second episode after 28 days, with both episodes showing a broadly even gender split and almost 90% of viewers watched the series via a smart TV.
"The format has surpassed last year's second most popular series, tentpole video game-inspired drama Fallout which launched in April with 5m after 28 days, with episode two racking up 4.3m.
"The launch episode of LOL was the most popular of the week across all UK streaming platforms when it landed, according to Barb data provided for Overnights.tv."
There is no news yet on a second series of Last One Laughing UK but - given the success of the show - a recommission is deemed very likely.
