Queer Comedy Club's search for new home inspires docuseries

The story of three comedians' attempts to build a queer comedy club in London is the subject of a new six-part documentary.
Building Betty & Joan's follows David Ian, Kate Dale and Jeremy Topp as they move their Queer Comedy Club from a venue in North London to a permanent, purpose-built home in Elephant and Castle.
The series is set to air on LGBTQI+ channel OUTflix, with production company Milli Productions saying: "Follow their hilarious and heartfelt journey as they juggle construction chaos, chatty bar staff, and their own colourful dating lives."
OUTflix's CEO Brad Danks added: "The UK is home to some of the most interesting stories and dedicated audiences within the LGBTQ+ community, and we're looking forward to delving behind the scenes of the Queer Comedy Club and adding to our strong slate of docuseries with Building Betty & Joan's."
Milli Productions previously shot five 45-minute stand-up specials for the broadcaster featuring Ian, James Barr, Heleana Blackwell, Kat Nip and Vix Leyton, recorded at the former Queer Comedy Club venue.
