Jordan Gray already writing a second series of Transaction for ITV

Jordan Gray has begun work on a second series of her sitcom, Transaction, before the first has even aired.
The trans comic was asked about the upcoming ITV comedy, which she writes and stars in as a supermarket employee hired for diversity purposes, who turns into an egomaniac "nightmare" for her colleagues, while appearing on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch.
When Brunch presenter Tim Lovejoy suggested that a second series of the sitcom had already been commissioned, Gray tactfully replied: "You've information that I don't."
But she added: "I mean, it's a discussion, it's absolutely a discussion. I've written all the stories for a second season."
Although based on a 2020 online series that Gray made for Comedy Central, she confirmed that the six-part ITV version, which co-stars Nick Frost, Doon Mackichan and Thomas Gray, would not repeat the original's storylines and instead features "all new stuff".
The musical comic was appearing on Sunday Brunch to promote her new stand-up special, Jordan Gray: Is It A Bird?, a recording of her 2022 live show, which received an Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination and culminated in her singing naked, and which airs on Channel 4 on Friday.
Gray also revealed that she is returning to Edinburgh with her third Fringe show in August.
"I have started working on a new stand-up show and I shall be performing that at the Edinburgh Fringe this year. Do it all over again," she said.
Overlooking her 2018 festival debut, People Change, she continued: "There's loads of practical effects in this next show. Because when you get naked in your first show, where do you go from there? So I've got to have explosions and things!"
