Have I Got News For You USA to return for Series 2
The American version of Have I Got News For You has been renewed by CNN for a second series.
The panel show, which is also shown on BBC iPlayer in the UK, completes its first ten-part series on CNN tomorrow night (23rd November).
The US network confirms that Series 2 will air early next year, again as part of its Saturday primetime line-up.
Host Roy Wood Jr along with team captains Amber Ruffin and Michael Ian Black will return for the new set of episodes.
Executive Amy Entelis says: "For its inaugural season, Have I Got News For You has been a welcome and lively extension of the CNN brand, and our viewers continue to show enthusiasm for comic relief on Saturday nights."
Jimmy Mulville from Hat Trick Productions, the UK-based company that makes the show, says: "We're thrilled that Have I Got News For You has made an impact with the CNN audience and can't wait to come back next year. I think we'll have plenty of news to poke fun at!"
The British version of Have I Got News For You continues its 68th series on BBC One on Friday night's at 9pm. Roy Wood Jr hosted the episode a fortnight ago, which reacted to Donald Trump's re-election. The line-up for tonight (22nd November) is Lorraine Kelly as host, with Maisie Adam and BBC Radio 5 Live presenter and journalist Matt Chorley as the guests.
