Noel Fielding's Dick Turpin series launches on Apple TV+ on 1st March
Apple TV+ has unveiled a first look at its upcoming comedy adventure series The Completely Made-Up Adventures Of Dick Turpin, starring Noel Fielding.
The six-part series sees Fielding playing the legendary highwayman. The episodes follow Dick Turpin as he sets out on a journey of wildly absurd escapades when he's made the reluctant leader of a band of outlaws - and tasked with outwitting corrupt lawman and self-appointed Thief Taker, Jonathan Wilde (Hugh Bonneville).
Apple TV+ explains: "In this irreverent retelling set in the 18th century, Dick is the most famous but least likely of highway robbers, whose success is defined mostly by his charm, showmanship, and great hair. Together with his gang of lovable rogues, Dick rides the highs and lows of his new endeavours, including a brush with celebrity, all whilst trying to escape the clutches of the Thief Taker."
Starring alongside Fielding and Bonneville is Ellie White as Nell Brazier, Marc Wootton as Moose Pleck and Duayne Boachie as Honesty Courage.
Meanwhile Tamsin Greig plays Lady Helen Gwinear.
And People Just Do Nothing star Asim Chaudhry takes on the role of Craig the Warlock
Other well-known comic actors due to appear in the series include Dolly Wells, Joe Wilkinson, Mark Heap and Geoff McGivern.
The first two episodes will be on Apple TV+ from Friday 1st March, followed by a new episode every Friday through to 29th March.
