Extraordinary to be shown on ITV

Disney+'s critically acclaimed superpowers-based comedy Extraordinary will be available via ITVX in 2024, and also shown on ITV2.
Broadcast reports that Disney has inked a deal with ITV which will result in some of Disney's shows appearing on ITV's free-to-view streaming platform and channels. US crime drama Under The Banner Of Heaven is another programme involved in the deal.
Series 1 of Extraordinary, which made its debut on Disney+ in January, will become available on ITVX, and play out on ITV2, in the first half of 2024. The show will remain available to subscribers to Disney+ too.
Written by Emma Moran and featuring a cast including Mairead Tyers, Sofia Oxenham, Luke Rollason and Bilal Hasna, Extraordinary is a comedy drama set in a world where everyone over the age of 18 has a superpower... apart from central character Jen.
As reported in January, the comedy is set to return for a second series. The new episodes are expected to become available on Disney+ in early 2024.
