It has been a slow business day at Seriously Fried Chicken. They discover that they are losing all of their customers to a new upmarket fried chicken van - Poulet Etc - that has just opened around the corner. Mary becomes more desperate to find a way to win back customers.

Mary addresses the staff - they need to come up with a plan of action to beat Poulet Etc. Mary suggests that Joe should play his guitar outside to drum up business. JoJo, an attractive female employee from Poulet Etc overhears Joe's playing and flirts with him, giving Joe her number.

Joe has a date with JoJo which seems to make Amara jealous. However JoJo steals money from a diner on their date - she's got a bit of a criminal edge.

Mary is depressed at Poulet's success and turns to drink. Derek has to galvanise her to keep fighting. She drunkenly comes up with the greatest idea any manager has ever had..
