Jack and Hugo are the directors of upper-crust wine merchants Mowbray & Crofts, a long-established company serving London's great and good, from Lords to bankers to embassies.

Work has never been a word they have easily recognised, preferring to drink the stock whenever possible and conduct all other 'business' from a heavy social basis: life for these two is an endless round of exclusive parties!

However, the duo must learn to adapt to a new life when their accountant dies suddenly, exposing a gaping chasm in the firm's finances that leave them with no option than to call in assistance from the bank - who impose a young, go-getting executive, Alan, tasked with turning the business around with a series of new initiatives, cutbacks, and money-making schemes.

The question remains, just how will Jack and Hugo cope with their newfound need to put some actual effort in?
