Here's a look at 20 new comedy shows coming to TV in 2023, which we're looking forward to seeing.

Black Ops

Daniel Lawrence Taylor

Daniel Lawrence Taylor is following up on Timewasters with this coming-of-age BBC Three comedy drama that follows the lives of five underprivileged black students who win scholarships to an elite boarding school. Guide

Alan Carr

Count Abdulla

Arian Nik

A high-concept sitcom that'll premiere on ITVX, it follows a British Pakistani Muslim junior doctor (Arian Nik) who is bitten by a halal-hunting vampire. Guide

Fleabag[/c] star Brett Gelman stars in this Channel 4 series as an American widower who must get to know his British wife's estranged family in their crumbling gothic mansion in the English countryside, as they complete for his newly inherited fortune. Guide

Everyone Else Burns

Coming to Sky in February, this comedy is about a fictional British comedy actor, played by Gemma Arterton. Set in the swinging 60s, it's based on Nick Hornby's hit book. Guide

Coming to Gold on the 14th January alongside two beautifully colourised episodes from the landmark sitcom Hancock's Half Hour, Jack Dee presents this feature-length documentary about comedy icon Tony Hancock. Guide

Julie Walters and Clarke Peters play teenage sweethearts who have never quite managed to forget each other in this Channel 4 comedy drama. The show asks 'is it ever right to help end a life?'. Guide

Undoing Martin Parker
