Graham Norton - Children In Need interview
Graham Norton is one of the key presenters for the BBC's 2016 Children In Need TV appeal. He talks about co-hosting the show here...
Did you feel honoured the BBC asked you to join the team?
Yes! It's such an important date in the BBC calendar and a wonderful opportunity for the country to come together.
What are you most looking forward to?
The excitement of a big live show.
Do you get nervous doing live shows like this?
Live television is always nerve wracking but that's what makes it exciting!
It's the first year without Sir Terry Wogan. Do you think it's going to be quite emotional without him there?
Certainly I think the whole nation will have Sir Terry in their thoughts as we carry on the charity he loved so much, without him.
Will you be doing a tribute to him?
There is going to be a special moment where we remember Sir Terry and an announcement about his legacy.
Do you hope viewers will dig deep this year in honour of everything he did for Children in Need?
Sir Terry cared about Children in Need more than anything else so I really hope the nation continues to support it as much as they always have so that it continues to thrive in his absence.
There's various sketches planned for the night...
I hear there's a sketch involving Eddie Redmayne - I'm looking forward to that.
Would you ever take on a crazy challenge for Children in Need?
Possibly - but I'm making no promises!
What stories do you find particularly humbling? What pulls at your heart strings?
There's always something very moving about vulnerable children who find themselves in difficult circumstances through no fault of their own.
And, finally... the nation is always so generous. Does this ever cease to amaze you?
The generosity of the British public is always truly humbling. So fingers crossed Children in Need 2016 is another record-breaking year.
Graham Norton will be joining Marvin Humes, Rochelle Humes, Tess Daly, Greg James and Ade Adepitan, to guide viewers through a night of dazzling entertainment to raise millions of pounds for BBC Children in Need 2016. The show starts on BBC One on Friday 18th November, and runs until 1am.
Comedy-related highlights to look out for include a special episode of Would I Lie To You?; a Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them sketch with Eddie Redmayne, featuring a host of stars including the Bake Off team; a light-hearted EastEnders extravaganza; and the cast of Citizen Khan taking on Russell Kane in a comedy dance performance.
