Caroline Fairchild gave up her job soon after marrying in order to raise hastily-arriving children: nearly 30 years on, and with the house now empty, she's restless to get back into a regular job.
Looking to return to the field of publishing, she unwittingly becomes employed alongside her husband - just as his company is taken over by a new owner with a no-couples policy in place!
