Kwabena moonlights as a food delivery driver to finance his film, but feels his new job makes him beneath Vanessa, so he struggles to keep it a secret. Things start to look up when he is hired by Funmi to film her eccentric aunt's 60th birthday party, and gets an intriguing tip from an old film school friend. Amy pushes for a promotion at work, and Maurice is anxious about fatherhood.

Further details

In a bid to raise funds for his film, Jamaica Road, Kwabena struggles to balance moonlighting as a food delivery driver. His romance with Vanessa continues to grow stronger (despite their differing film tastes) but Kwabena can't help but feel a little inadequate in comparison to his new girl, a high-flying accountant with a taste for the finer things in life, so much so he ends up keeping his delivery job a secret from her.

Funmi sets Kwabena up with a cushy gig filming her eccentric Aunt Lola's 60th birthday party, and she agrees to pay him the funding he needs for his short film in return for his services and so long as he meets her specific requirements. Can Kwabs pull it off and finally get his film funded?

Later on, Kwabena hears from William, an old film school friend who sits on the panel of a diversity-in-film programme and encourages him to apply.

Elsewhere, Amy is pushing for a promotion at work, but finds her prior experience in Nigeria is not taken seriously by her colleagues, specifically her boss.

At home, Maurice is increasingly anxious about the arrival of his first child, obsessively reading pregnancy books which result in him frustrating his heavily pregnant wife, Funmi, with his fussing and overprotection.

When you house share with a couple = awks

Living with a couple has its pros and cons. You're never lonely - though sometimes some private alone time would be nice - and your coupled-up housemates sometimes overshare personal details about their relationship.
