Comedy serial following two middle-aged sisters and their chance encounter with an idol from their university days. Once admired by men and loved by women, fellow Oxford student N.V. Standish graduated with flying colours, entered the Diplomatic Service on behalf of the British Government, and penned a celebrated novel.
Not long after, however, his former fans and classmates never heard from him again. Not until sisters Mary (single) and Louise (widowed) spot him grilling the hamburgers in a small local café. Whatever could have happened to this once bright beacon and celebrated figure in their lives?
