Further details

This episode sees Tube geek Emily turn into a ditzy pop princess, while make-up artist Carly must convince her friends she's dating twins.

28-year-old Emily grew up in the US but has lived in London for 10 years - and gradually become obsessed with the city. She is an utter tube geek and a huge West Ham fan. Her Insider Caolan explains that she's a bit of a nerd - who loves history tours and runs several blogs. The Ctrl Freaks are going to turn her into everything she hates - an American ditz.

Her opponent is Carly, a 24-year-old wannabe make-up artist. A bubbly former dancer, she runs a blossoming beauty blog. She's proudly single and is a total party girl, who never misses a trip to Ibiza. Her Insider is Ruth, who informs the Ctrl Freaks that Carly is very confident and hard to embarrass - quite the challenge. They're going to get her take on a very personal task - convincing her friends that she's dating twin brothers.

The Challenges

The Ctrl Freaks are turning Emily into a bimbo, so her first challenge begins the transformation. She finds out she's been booked into a local salon and as her treatments progress, it becomes clear she's turning into a Barbie girl. Her final look sees her fake tanned and pink nailed, wearing neon clothes. Although for some it would be the perfect look, Emily hates hobbling along in her bright yellow heels. Will a picture of her new look impress her Facebook friends?

Carly's first challenge sees her reveal a secret to her friends. She must Snapchat all her friends to tell them she's in love. Un-soppy and happily single, Carly puts on her best smile and makes her admission to her friends. Will she be able to answer all her confused friends' comments convincingly?

Emily is a proud lover of knowledge, so her second challenge sees her become a true airhead. The Ctrl Freaks have arranged for her to join her friends at a pub quiz, but she must answer every single question incorrectly - losing her team £150. Can she bear to answer the London Underground question wrong? Will her team mates ever forgive her? The embarrassing footage gets uploaded to Facebook...

Meanwhile, Carly finds out the shocking truth about who she's dating. Her Facebook relationship status changes to reveal she's going out with Mehmet and Erdo - twin brothers. A shocked Carly must keep up the pretence when she meets up with her friend for lunch - will he see through her confusing explanation of their relationship? The Ctrl Freaks have also booked her in for a couples photo shoot with the twins. Carly must smile her way through the soppy shoot, with a pair of twins she's only just met... Of course, the pictures go online - to the bemusement of her friends.

Emily's final challenge sees her live the ultimate Paris Hilton dream - becoming a popstar. The Ctrl Freaks have entered her into the Essex Factor, a huge singing competition, complete with judges and buzzers. She must write her own song, titled Girls Are Pretty When They're Stupid, before stepping onstage in front of a loud Essex crowd... Will she wobble proudly on stage in her neon heels? Or will the pressure of performing prove too much?

Carly faces a tough final challenge of her own. The comedians have arranged for her to have dinner with her confused friends, who have a lot of questions about her new unconventional relationship. Halfway through the meal, the twins arrive and Carly must say soppy comments tweeted to her by the Ctrl Freaks. The meal ends with an astonishing marriage proposal from the twins. Will Carly say yes? Will her friends smell a rat (or two)?
