Rob Brydon's Now That's What I Call Comic Relief
Further details
In this one-off special, Comic Relief stalwart Rob Brydon trips the light fantastic among the funniest, sweetest and daftest musical sketches and performances from the Comic Relief store cupboard. Expect big names doing silly things and musical performances with that special Red Nose Day twist.
Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sandé, George Michael, Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John - these are just a few of the musicians who have tuned up their tonsils for Comic Relief. Sometimes they sang, sometimes they were sent up and sometimes they were sent up while they sang.
Who could forget Bjork and Tony Ferrino (Steve Coogan) heating up the studio with their Short Term Affair? Or Theophilus P Wildebeest (Lenny Henry) and Tom Jones dropping the Sex Bomb? Is This The Way To Amarillo? Well, no, but it is the way to Peter Kay's many musical contributions. Ali G will probe Posh and Becks' bedtime routines and George Michael will join Smithy (James Corden) for the first ever Carpool Karaoke.
In other words, all human life is here in this musical romp through the best sketches and performances from across the decades. But will they ever play Rob's chart-topping Comic Relief single Barry Islands in the Stream? Who knows... ?
Thank you for the music, Comic Relief.
