Williams is perhaps best known for throwing around double-entendres in Peter Rogers's famed franchise, or working alongside Tony Hancock and Kenneth Horne. But behind all the laughs lays a sadder story. Williams privately suffered from depression and kept a series of diaries throughout his life that achieved posthumous acclaim.
