Further details
Colin and his mum arrive at the crematorium but soon realize that they're at the wrong funeral.
At his mums house Colin looks at old school reports whilst looking for the deeds to the house. They finally find them in an old Black Magic chocolate box.
Back at the office Colin starts phoning every one who has contacted the office since 1982 and has decided not to resign.
At home Colin tries unsuccessfully to get small parts of his script changed and after failing to persuade Hunter's secretary to let him do it starts writing a letter to Hunter. Jen comes in and pulls the plug on the computer and tells him to stop all this non-sense and book a holiday.
In true Colin fashion he does not book a holiday but a meal in a French restaurant instead. Colin has actually learnt some French but not well enough to understand the replies to his requests. He loses his cool when failing to order lobster and instead grabs the lobster from another table and runs off with it.
In bed Jen asks Colin what is he thinking of and he rants off a list of things. Jen orders Colin to resign from British Rail because he can't do both jobs. He decides that he must do so.
At the office Colin is ranting down the phone at what seems like a customer but is in fact testing his leaving present which is an answer phone. He tells his work colleagues to stay in touch but they don't take it seriously. Travers asks Colin is there anything left he would like to do.
We view Waterloo station and Colin is doing the announcements. Various trains are cancelled and we see them being put up on the boards. As the credits role the number of cancellations rise to ridiculous proportions.
