Dennett has given Major and Carver a new assignment, but Major would rather stake out Kelly's work... he has a hunch she's been seeing someone else. They're quickly rumbled, and Kelly admits it's true, but declares it's over now (thus ending things with Carver without Major being any the wiser).
Carver attempts to distract Major with the hunt for Major's killer.
