Featuring: Rob Delaney (Rob), Sharon Horgan (Sharon), Monica Dolan (Polly) & Sanchia McCormack (Sinead Clacy).

Rob is still dealing with simmering fury over Sharon's drunken tussling with a student's penis, and his lack of gainful employment is now starting to undermine him, too. His feelings of inadequacy are ramped up when the tragic death of another staff member at Sharon's school has the unexpected benefit of getting her promoted. Meanwhile, young Frankie has developed a new predilection for biting other pupils. It's lovely to have Catastrophe back.

Why Sharon Horgan is the most watchable woman on TV

The star of the brutally honest Catastrophe talks about why fans identify with the sitcom - and why it's tricky to watch HBO show Divorce with her husband.

Nosheen Iqbal, The Guardian, 7th March 2017

TV Review: Catastrophe, Series 3 Episode 2

Anyway, there's lots going on in this week's episode but the nicest aspect is the extremely watchable chemistry between Sharon and Rob.

Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 7th March 2017

Catastrophe, series 3, episode 2 review

This show is at its best when it is skewering real-life situations with cynical, on-the-money lines. The subtle, blink-and-you'll-miss-them moments are the most effective. Car crash speeches are a comedy staple, and, sure, all very funny, but Catastrophe doesn't need to lower itself to such sitcom tropes. It's just doesn't need them.
