Car Share: All the visual gags
Peter Kay's Car Share contains lots of visual jokes, to add an extra layer of humour. Did you spot them all?
This Is Not A Sign (Series 1, Episode 1)
It's certainly not. It just really, really looks like one.
Brazilian While You Wait (Series 1, Episode 1)
Everything is so convenient these days.
Mark Radcliffe on Manchester (Series 1, Episode 1)
Radio presenter Mark Radcliffe has a wise quote about the northern city.
Buy One Meal... (Series 1, Episode 4)
Here's hoping that their food is better than their maths skills.
Missing Husband (Series 1, Episode 4)
Missing... or is he just hiding?
Shop signs (Series 1, Episode 6)
There's plenty going on in this shot! A Godfather joke, a call back to 'Big Bob's Beans' from Max And Paddy's Road To Nowhere, and most importantly there's Carolgees! In everything Peter Kay has done, there's always been some form of reference to Bob Carolgees (and Spit the Dog). This is a very subtle one!
Phoenix Bites (Comedy Shuffle special)
Another shop sign based reference, this time to Peter's classic sitcom Phoenix Nights. Clearly Brian Potter is still quite the entrepreneur!
Everything Must Go (Comedy Shuffle special)
For this poor man, pretty much everything already has gone.
Blow Job? (Comedy Shuffle special)
Hairdryers. They're talking about hairdryers, right?
Mr Softee Top (Series 2, Episode 1)
Remember Mr Softee Top from That Peter Kay Thing? It's nice to see that he's still out and about after all that business with Signór Whippee.
Miner Celebrities (Series 2, Episode 1)
You may laugh, but this is exactly the sort of show that could get commissioned in 2018. Bonus points if you spotted Bob Carolgees's involvement!
Shaun Ryder Rehab Centre (Series 2, Episode 1)
Is your melon twisted? Perhaps this is the place to go.
The Dog With Two Cocks (Series 2, Episode 2)
Well, it certainly makes a change from seeing a Red Lion.
Tecco Express (Series 2, Episode 2)
Next door to the Polski Pound Shop is... Tecco Express?
Hand Job sign (Series 2, Episode 2)
Spinning in the background is a sign with 'Hand' on one side, and 'Job' on the other.
Samuel L Jackson driving school (Series 2, Episode 3)
Even the most successful of actors have to have a backup career.
Newwoman advert (Series 2, Episode 3)
Well, you have to admire her honesty.
Wigan Pies (Series 2, Episode 3)
Not only is Wigan "the home of premiership football and pies" but there's also a 24 hour 'Pies R Us' for all your pie shaped needs!
Pies can also be exchanged for money in Wigan, it seems.
But there's no pies in this van.
This lorry is probably full of pies though.
Of course the film Life Of Pi is always showing, the good people of Wigan can't get enough of it!
Just in case you hadn't worked it out yet, pies can be purchased in Wigan.
Holly Bush Lane (Series 2, Episode 3)
It seems that having a road named after you isn't always a compliment.
Lollipop Lady (Series 2, Episode 4)
Now that's a pretty impressive lollipop lady.
HeBrew (Series 2, Episode 4)
Nothing to see here, just a Hebrew having a brew at HeBrew.
Dented car (Series 2, Episode 4)
Surely that'll buff out?
Frying Nemo (Series 2, Episode 4)
We'll never watch that Pixar film in the same way again.
Vengabus (Unscripted special)
The Vengabus. We've got a strong feeling that it's going to Ibiza.
Hot Dog (Unscripted special)
Regardless of the size, 50p is still quite the bargain.
Car Wash sign (Unscripted special)
That's quite a bold claim.
Pies Of Wigan (Unscripted special)
Another successful delivery from the people of Wigan!
Halaldi (Unscripted special)
As supermarket puns go, this is most impressive.
Can't Grow A Mustache? (Unscripted special)
Finally, the solution we've all been searching for.
Mega Cuts (Unscripted special)
An unfortunate placement of the scissors in that sign perhaps.
Dog (Unscripted special)
We think we'll just leave this one here.
My Big Fat Undateable Bake Off (Finale)
It looks like Channel 4 are combining all their hit formats.
The Knocking Shop (Finale)
Is that a massage place? Plus, an MC Hammer reference on the Stop sign, as a bonus.
Advert on the Magic Bus (Finale)
Is a Magic Bus better than the Megabus? Believe it or not, Magic Bus a real bus company in Manchester, but the alcohol advert on the side of it is fake: Beaver Liquors. Oh, and in the background, there's that Miner Celebrities advert again!
Lost Boys (Finale)
Have you seen this film?
Jean-Claude Van Man (Finale)
Another Hollywood star now working in Manchester?
No Dogging Zone (Finale)
There are double-yellow no parking lines, to be fair.
Buy 3 For The Price Of 3! (Finale)
Another great deal!
Louder Than Your Bird Last Night (Finale)
What a big exhaust!
Manchester City (Finale)
A subtle one this... that's Old Trafford, Manchester United's ground.
Don't Drive Like A Cockerel (Finale)
A public service announcement.
Ken Bamber's meat (Finale)
"Give your mouth a treat, try some of Ken's meat".
Secret Nuclear Bunker (Finale)
Not so secret any more!
NOW CD (Finale)
Not so much a joke, but a lovely subtle callback. The NOW 48 music CD can be seen in the wreckage of John's door.
