Cannon And Ball - The Complete Second Series
Thomas Derbyshire and Robert Harper, Oldham welders turned Clubland superstars, were given their major TV break as Cannon and Ball on Bruce Forsyth's Big Night in 1978, and rapidly went from strength to strength; this ratings-winning LWT series, launched the following year, consolidated their success and made them household names. Showcasing their trademark stand-up routines - honed to perfection by eighteen years' experience in the pubs and clubs of northern England - along with sketches, spectacular variety entertainment and a wealth of guest stars, the series ran for many hugely successful years.
Enjoy more good-natured comedy capers with the dynamic double act and their guests - including Diana Dors, Liver Bird Elizabeth Estensen, Peggy Mount and Faith Brown - with this DVD containing the complete second series from 1980, along with that year's Christmas Special.
