Ellen's rigid rule-following is bad news for Faruq; if the reference she wrote him isn't a bit less truthful, his UK visa won't be fast-tracked and he's unlikely to survive Taliban reprisals after the drawdown. The Lt Col tries to exploit this to get some dodgy paperwork of his own signed off.
Mac and Rocket do gladiatorial combat, as Mac is on a mission to prove he has discovered history's great, lost, undefeatable melee weapon.
Simon, foolishly taking advice from Bird, desperately tries to get Ellen to confront her 'feelings' for him - culminating in a brave attempt at romance.
