Bernard becomes a hardcore gambler and Fran and Manny compete for a job at Black Books.
Further details
Bernard's addictive personality (or manic depression) rears its ugly head when he becomes a hardcore gambler. Going from detesting the idea of the Grand National to attending underground poker games, he is way out of his depth when he gets head-hunted by a loan shark - and the stakes are high.
Meanwhile Fran has an interview and tricks Bernard into giving her a temporary job to impress her potential employers. She and Manny are constantly at each other's throats as they compete for the only available position and hard-sell the customers to fund Bernard's new-found habit. Where will it all end?
