Gus, an old friend of Manny's (and Mafioso type) calls on him to allow his nephew, Danny, to promote his autobiography. In return, Gus finds employment for jobless Fran.
Unfortunately, Danny is not only a hardened criminal and a bully but also illiterate and in desperate need of reading lessons. In pursuit of keeping their thumbs, Bernard and Manny need help from Gus. This hinders some and helps none when the parties get their wires crossed. At least there are no horses' heads involved. Yet.
