Further details

Grime artist and chef Big Zuu is off to Portsmouth to cook the perfect post performance meal for comedian Rosie Jones.

Rosie is on her Backwards tour and is desperate for fish and chips like her Nanna made and a sausage roll that can beat the ones she used to eat at school.

Zuu and his sidekicks Tubsey and Hyder set out on a fishing expedition to try and catch some fresh fish - but it's not as easy as it looks, especially if you've never been fishing before. Back at the van they set about designing a fresh twist on traditional chips with a nod to Nanna's Spanish heritage and devise a Lebanese alternative to the traditional sausage roll.

But Rosie has her own ideas too - she wants Zuu to try her unique pre-gig cocktail, which she claims tastes the same as a cheeseburger...

Rosie Jones interview

Some words from guest Rosie Jones...

Do you miss stand-up when you're not doing it?

Absolutely! I love it so much, I perform almost every evening (I am a little addicted to it), so when I have an evening off, I honestly don't know what to do with myself, it's like my limb is missing.

How do you make sure you eat well?

Luckily, I'm a bit weird, and my favourite thing to eat is anything green - spinach, broccoli, courgettes, peas, kale...so I'd always favour a meal with a load of veg over something really unhealthy. And even though my life is all over the place, I don't really
snack a lot... I stick to three meals a day, because that's the only routine I can have in my life.

When you're on the road, what's your favourite rest stop for fast food?

God, it's really predictable but I love a Maccie's. Although it's all about the chicken for me... nuggets, selects, a fillet burger...damn it, you're making me hungry now!

What's your karaoke go-to?

I'm a big fan of musicals, so any musical number is a winner in my book. But I do love Seasons Of Love from Rent, because I really can belt it out after a few gins.

What would you say has been your career highlight to date?

Definitely performing at Wembley Arena, that was a dream come true... I wept with happiness after - it was just incredible.

What's your guilty pleasure record?

Anything by Craig David, I just can't help myself - they are TUNES! Fill Me In especially.

What do you do to relax?

I don't get a lot of relaxing time, so when I do, it's a real luxury! I love jigsaws, crossword books, reading and documentaries about serial killers... yes, I am a 80 year-old woman trapped in a 30 year-old's body and I am perfectly fine with that!

Grime star Big Zuu continues his culinary quest to feed the nation's comics from the back of his travelling food truck. After last week's vegan escapades with Jimmy Carr, he is now in Portsmouth with Rosie Jones, serving up a Lebanese sausage roll and chips, as well as undertaking a fishing expedition.
