Atletico Partick is an unfortunately named amateur football team in Scotland. Despite the best intentions of ambitious coach Bonner, the side consists mostly of no-hopers - on the field and off. With the exception of leading striker Ally, who also hits the net with all the women he approaches, the definitively unathletic team is a shambles.
Take Jack Roan, for instance, a midfielder whose wife's indiscretions are causing him plenty of headaches. Or Pettigrew, the goalkeeper whose wife takes up witchcraft.
The series follows the team as they struggle to make an impact in the local Sunday league and the prestigious Streaky Bacon Cup.
