Prolific comedy writer Eric Sykes shows cameras aspects of a typical day at his office, and talks about his life and work with and alongside fellow actors and writers ranging from Frankie Howerd to Spike Milligan, Ray Galton & Alan Simpson to Peter Sellers, Tommy Cooper, and of course his 'identical twin' Hattie Jacques.
His manager Norma Farnes and personal assistant Janet Spearman talk about Eric and his work, and describe life at 9, Orme Court, once the hotbed of British comedy writing talent.
Sykes' long-serving ear specialist, John Ballantyne, also talks about the debilitating middle-ear disease that rendered Eric almost completely deaf at a young age.
