Sally Harrison, an attractive widow, faces the prospect of raising two teenage boys, a cat and a goldfish on her own.
Following the death of husband Dick, her Auntie lives with her and sons Peter and Simon, whilst she struggles to hold down a receptionist job to Mr. Campbell, the local vet. In both work and leisure, however, Sally's endeavours are endlessly hampered by her own worrisome, somewhat scatter-brained - but thoroughly well-meaning - nature!
The series is part-inspired by Craig's earlier, long-running BBC sitcom, Not In Front Of The Children.
