René is arrested by the Colonel; in exchange for his release, he agrees to hide the original Fallen Madonna in his cellar. Just outside Nouvion, the General commandeers a set of vineyards and enlists everyone in the café to help pick the grapes.

Several of our cast come up with plans to attempt to rescue Herr Flick from the dungeon of Von Klinkerhoffen. Meanwhile, Flick is on the rack and Edith succeeds in blowing up a portion of Nouvion.
