Wait For It is a radio sitcom set in a small but busy restaurant, Morgan's Brasserie. Each episode takes place over the course of one evening shift. It follows the exploits of the two waitresses, Sophia and Anna, the kitchen assistant, Jade, and the co-owner and hostess, Jenny, as they try and follow the maxim of 'service with a smile' whatever might be happening behind the kitchen door.

With the help of Simon and Declan, my first ever script got to the final four of the Sitcom Mission in 2015. Since then I've made a few industry contacts, worked on some more comedy ideas and in September started an MA in Screenwriting for TV and Film at Royal Holloway University. Wait For It is based on my own experiences as I've worked in a small family-run restaurant on and off for 18 years. It's hard work but never fails to give you good ideas for comedy characters. This time around I went for a radio script as I like the idea of a simple set-up with clashing characters that have to work together in a claustrophobic environment whilst putting on a smile for good customer service.
