Hannah Boyd-Piercy

Hannah is an unrepentant daydreamer, software developer and sometime writer who spent her formative years in the extremely loving but uncomfortably tight embrace of a family of religious fundamentalists in North London. Upon fleeing the nest she veered haphazardly between multiple different careers and romantic failures before spontaneously combusting into a glorious and monstrous fireball of creativity, homosexuality and feline obsession. Throughout all of this, the written and spoken word has been a friend, unpaid therapist and frequent pain in the arse. She writes out of gratitude for and confusion about her part in the very big, beautiful world that she entered as an adult. She writes for her chosen family, who have shown her that being known, being flawed and being loved are not mutually exclusive things.

"Currently my whole vibe is just that I'm very happy, proud and slightly bewildered to be here. I'd been talking about writing a sitcom for at least 10 years but I'd never actually tried before this January. I really hope people find the characters I've created as funny and endearing as I do."
