Minicab Detective is about four women's intersecting efforts to prove themselves and the resulting tangled web they weave. Can Jacquie clear her name after being discharged from the police force and show everyone she's Wooton-on-Sea's best private detective? Can Clare persuade new boss Jacquie she's not a gold-plated Sloane airhead but quite a good detective, actually? Will Jacquie's sister Eleanor make a success of her café and become the world's most entrepreneurial cougar? And how many backs does Eleanor's teenage waitress (and Jacquie's snitch) Maisy have to stab before people take her seriously as the heir to Wooton-on-Sea's underworld throne?
