But to new recruit Karen it's hard to see what's more malfunctional: the inventions, or their emotionally disoriented inventors. Lei Lei likes her robots more than people - but she can't stop latest creation Dean being depressed. Ryan's drone army spends its time bullying hapless Matias, who has yet to invent anything useful. When Mr Blue declares he wants to cut the least functioning department, Karen and Lei Lei have 24 hours to help Dean discover a purpose, whilst Ryan and Matias try to sabotage each other's tech.
