Only Fools And Horses launched on BBC One on 8th September 1981. After a slow start, it built up audiences to become one of the country's favourite TV comedies. Starring David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst, the comedy finished in 2001 with three episodes, seen by over 20 million viewers. Del Boy and Rodney briefly appeared again in 2014 for a sketch for Sport Relief.

The new book follows on from previous OFAH publications, including Graham McCann's 2011 book Only Fools And Horses: The Untold Story Of Britain's Favourite Comedy, 2013's The Story Of Only Fools And Horses and 2015's Del Boy - He Who Dares...: My Genuine Autobiography.

In January, one of the vans used in the show was auctioned and in February Royal Mail issued 12 stamps to mark the show's 40th year.

Lovely Jubbly: A Celebration Of 40 Years Of Only Fools And Horses, which is available to pre-order now, is due to be published on 30th September.
