  • The Radio 4 version of Good Omens is to be released on vinyl
  • A new TV adaptation will be available to pre-order on DVD and Blu-ray from Friday
  • David Tennant and Michael Sheen have opened a free exhibition in London

The Radio 4 version of Good Omens is to be released on vinyl. The news has been revealed as the stars of the forthcoming TV version have opened an immersive experience in London.

Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's comic fantasy novel follows the story of angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley. When they learn that the Antichrist has been born on present day Earth, they agree to work together to prevent the End of Days.

Radio 4's version, originally broadcast in 2014, starred Mark Heap as Aziraphale and Peter Serafinowicz as Crowley, with Josie Lawrence as Agnes Nutter.

The TV version, which launches on Amazon Prime tomorrow (31st May) before coming to BBC Two later in the year, also stars Lawrence, with Michael Sheen as Aziraphale and David Tennant as Crowley.

The radio version, adapted and co-directed by the award-winning Dirk Maggs, will be made available on vinyl for the first time this summer. The limited edition four-disc set will be released on 2nd August. It is available for pre-order now, with a recommended retail price of £99.99.

Ben Stanley, Head of Product & Marketing at publishers Demon Music Group, says: "It's very exciting to be announcing this brilliant new product as fans get ready to enjoy the new TV adaption. We're pleased to offer the original BBC Radio 4 production on these beautiful pieces of heavyweight vinyl."

The four 180g heavyweight coloured vinyl discs - including a laser-etched Side B - are presented in illustrated wallets inside a rigid, bound 16 page book, with exclusive sleeve notes written by Neil Gaiman and Dirk Maggs.

Meanwhile the TV version is also available to pre-order on DVD, Blu-ray and limited edition steelbook Blu-ray formats. A TV Companion book is already available.

The five-floor immersive experience, situated in Soho, is based on the antique bookshop of Aziraphale.

The Good Omens experience and exhibition is located at 19 Greek Street and will be open across the weekend, from Friday 31st May until Sunday 2nd June. The exhibition is free to enter, whilst fans can pre-book to take on the escape room, or turn up and hope for a slot. More details

Good Omens

Good Omens

It takes good and evil to save the world in this adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's cult novel, starring Michael Sheen and David Tennant.

Aziraphale is a fussy angel. Crowley is a loose-living demon. They've both been on Earth for over 6,000 years. During that time they've grown quite fond of it, and, against all odds, each other. But there's a problem - the Antichrist has arrived here on Earth, which means the world they have become too fond of will end in flames, if they don't manage to save it. This wildly imaginative and screamingly funny drama follows Aziraphale and Crowley as they join forces in an attempt to find an 11-year-old Antichrist (and his dog) and avert the Apocalypse. Armageddon is coming - but it doesn't have to be the end of the world.
