A Very Sheeps Christmas

A Very Sheeps Christmas

Sheeps are "arguably the best sketch group of their generation" (Guardian), so who better placed to bring you arguably the best Christmas album of their generation?

A Very Sheeps Christmas, a labour of love for Sheeps for over a decade, and painstakingly recorded over 10 months. Featuring zero covers, the album is guaranteed to include your new favourite Christmas songs, such as My Baby Looks A Lot Like Santa Claus, Goodman Jizz, (I Just Wanna Go On My Phone) This Christmas and Bad Back/Wet Sleigh* (*cut from the record).

The musical passion project of lead songwriters and vocalists Daran Jonno Johnson and Al Roberts, this album features a whole host of incredible guest stars: vocal appearances from Jamie Demetriou, Rose Matafeo, Lolly Adefope, Charlotte Ritchie, Emma Sidi and Amy Annette, and musical appearances from Kieran Hodgson on violin, and John Tothill on clarinet - as well as incredible musicians appearing across the album. (Katy Wix is not featured on the album because was busy blowing into a violin (see cover)).

The album's producers say: "Expect gorgeous melodies, low-in-the-mix-sleigh-bells, and lots of songs about Santa. Really, lots and lots of songs. 20 of them! You'll be amazed at just how good they are, and just how and why Sheeps have been allowed to do this."

First released: Friday 6th December 2024

Quotes

Daran Jonno Johnson says: "It isn't clear why we've been allowed to do this. Or why so many people so generously joined in on the joke. But, however we got here, it's weirdly one of the things I'm proudest of us ever doing. Hope everybody likes it. Hope everybody has a Happy Breakfast! "

Al Roberts says: "This is a weird one, definitely, but, I don't know, I think it could be kind of amazing? I love the songs. Jonno's done such a great job. And we're so grateful to Country Mile and Blink Industries for giving us the opportunity to do this. I don't know, you know - I think it could be amazing."

Fear not! Many items can still be ordered. Amazon in the UK delivers to many international territories, whilst their Australia, USA and Canada stores also supply many equivalent or imported items.

If you are in the North America, look out for US/Canadian flag icons on popular product listings for direct links.

If you order from a UK store, please note that the UK is in Region 2 and B, respectively, for DVDs and Blu-rays - check your player's compatibility, or look for multi-region products if you are located in another region.

If you are in Australia or New Zealand (DVD Region 4), note that almost all DVDs distributed in the UK by the BBC and 2entertain are encoded for both Region 2 and Region 4. The UK and Australasia are in the same Blu-ray region (B).
