Graham Norton to write 2014 autobiography
Graham Norton has announced he is writing his second autobiography.
Titled The Life and Loves of a He Devil, the book will be released in October 2014.
Publishers Hodder & Stoughton describe the memoir as a "funny and honest" look at the subject of love.
The comedy star's first book So Me was released in 2005, which the chat show host describing it at the time as 'a real romp through a journey from living in a cockroach-infested council flat in Hackney to buying Claudia Schiffer's townhouse in Manhattan, from my mother dragging me to school to me dragging her to Sharon Stone's house for New Year's brunch.'
Norton has also published Ask Graham. The 2011 book features a collection of his agony uncle columns from The Daily Telegraph.
Talking about writing his new book, The Life and Loves of a He Devil, the comedian says: "It's been 10 years since I last put fingertip to keyboard. A lot has happened to me since then but being a decade older it strikes me that what makes a life interesting is less what happens to you but more what drives and inspires you. A life of loves."
However, the comic stresses the aim of the book is to be funny as well as illuminating. "When I say this is the most personal thing I've ever written, don't worry, it also contains stories about mystery objects found in dog poo and celebrity actress farts."
Publisher Hannah Black says: "We're so proud to be publishing Graham. He's funny, original and impressively mischievous, and he's also a brilliantly clever story teller and loved by young and old across the nation."
Graham Norton returns to TV for another series of The Graham Norton Show in early April.
In the below TV interview from 2012, Norton discusses the chapter of his first autobiography in which he describes the time he almost died when he was stabbed in the street whilst attending drama school:
