Outnumbered stars reunite in co-creator's audiobook

The adult stars of Outnumbered are reuniting to record a new audiobook.
Murder Most Foul is penned by the hit BBC One sitcom's co-creator, Guy Jenkin. It will be published on 6th March 2025 in paperback, eBook and audio formats.
A "dark, witty and fast-paced novel", it is set in Elizabethan London and follows William Shakespeare attempting to investigate and clear his own name of involvement in the murder of his professional adversary, Christopher Marlowe. In doing so he teams up with Marlowe's sister - and a former girlfriend of his own - Ann.
Outnumbered leads Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner play the duo in the audio edition of the book, which is being published by W.F. Howes.
Taking place in 1593, publishers tease: "In their search to solve the crime, Will and Ann uncover a dark world of treachery, murder, and corruption - which in turn provides Shakespeare with scenes and characters that will appear in his greatest plays."
Guy Jenkin says: "I love Tudor history, I love detective fiction and I've always wanted to write a novel, so this was the perfect solution. I've tried to write something smart, funny and fun and I hope everyone enjoys it. I know they'll enjoy Claire and Hugh reading it."
Hanna Kenne of W. F. Howes said: "It is so refreshing to see one of Britain's most imaginative screenwriters and directors cross over into the world of crime fiction so seamlessly. Bringing his own brand of bold, dark, and quick-witted writing to the genre, Guy has created a really spellbinding story, which Hugh and Claire lift from the page brilliantly. I'm sure listeners all over the world will be captivated by this truly unique audiobook."
Pre-orders are now being accepted in all three formats.
