Dom Joly`s life is explored in detail from his time as a war reporter up to his current television successes. His career has encompassed cheap promotional reels, adverts and cockney gangster films. He has now become a star but is still not entirely satisfied with his work.

The documentary makers also look beyond his professional life and discover that he is a keen Scientologist, has a difficult relationship with his father and is married to a beautiful Bosnian.
