Episode 1

Patriotic Wallis is forced out of the RAF after a crash landing leaves him suffering from black-outs. He falls back on his skills as a musician and joins the big band circuit, where he has an unfortunate encounter with wide-boy Trapp. Trapp is proud of avoiding conscription and determined to spend the war womanising and dealing in blackmarket goods.
