Feeling oppressed by a house full of kids, Gavin erects a tent in the garden: a place where he can snatch a few quiet moments; a space, however small, to call his own; a place to finally start practising the ukulele. But when these moments begin to turn into hours and then days, the trouble begins.
It is the weekend when Fay and Gavin are supposed to be finally planning their wedding - they already have three children. Gavin is keen to have the ceremony in a 19th-century castle but Fay prefers the reptile house at the local zoo.
Such decisions and many more prove so difficult that by Sunday evening Fay finds herself alone in a cafe wondering, not just whether the wedding is off, but whether their whole relationship has hit the buffers.
