The Curse Of The Beagle - The Penny Dreadfuls Present: The Curse Of The Beagle

In 1831 a 22-year-old Charles Darwin set sail on the HMS Beagle for a five year voyage that he said changed the course of his life. He later published his stories of the trip but in this reimagining, comedy trio The Penny Dreadfuls reveal the untold story that Darwin kept to himself.

Further details

Join a young Charles Darwin aboard the HMS Beagle for his infamous 1831 expedition to South America, as he encounters cannibals, Argentinian warlords and an ancient curse that will take him to the very bottom of the world.

Accompanied by his companions York Minster, Basket and the likely insane Captain FitzRoy, it's a rude awakening for the impetuous 22 year old. Especially since all he was expecting to have to do on this voyage was find a few rare birds and shoot them for his scrap book.

Written by David Reed and starring The Penny Dreadfuls, with Margaret Cabourn-Smith and special guests.
