Audience Question
"A match at Wimbledon broke all records this week, with the last set lasting longer than the previous longest match. What is the most interminable event that you have ever found yourself at?"
- A four day conference about wire... in a Stalinist hall in China. Presentations were in Mandarin... which I don't speak... I was the chairman!
- Meeting the Queen. I could have just looked at a stamp.
- All the swimming galas my son swam in. Four hour at the top of a steaming stuffy swimming pool seating area to see an indistinguishable child in black hat and trunks swim for 25 seconds... and, yes, I have cheered for the wrong one!
- I couldn't think of anything witty to say so here is a picture of an elephant beating Wayne Rooney at football.
