Rail minister Huw Merriman sppeared on Kay Burley's Sky News show and fingered Radio 4's satirical News Quiz as flagrantly unbalanced for, er, attacking the governing party. Although he later acknowledged that "it may not have been The News Quiz", he did say it was "totall biased". Which is odd, as the producer of The News Quiz, a young comedian named Sam Russell-Holmes, came to the show as an audio producer fresh from a role at Conservative bible The Spectator! Oddly, the Spectator - normally keen to weigh in on such matters, such as last summer when Rod Liddle declared that Auntie's "unceasing wokeish bias is exacerbating the national stampede for the off switch" - seems to have given the Beeb an easier ride this time.
