Friday 12^th January 2024

This week Mark Nelson is joined by one of the biggest pop stars of all time, Woody from the Bay City Rollers, who shares his stories of fame, fortune and, of course, some misfortune in Tokyo airport. He's joined by BBC 5 Live presenter Gordon Smart, who tells an epic story of life and death on a Portuguese golf course. Susan Riddell returns to the show and completes the line-up with hilarious stories about petting a hairy dog, getting some work done, and it even all goes wrong on holiday with her family.

Friday 19^th January 2024

Joining Mark Nelson is one of the country's best fiction writers of all time, Ian Rankin, who shares his stories of a festive miracle and a nightmare on the A1. Alongside him is Deacon Blue drummer and TV presenter, Dougie Vipond, who pays the price for living the highlife with the megastars, as well as meeting his teenage crush. Completing the line-up on this cracking show is "the luckiest person in Scotland", comedian Viv Gee, who wins big on one hand, but loses the job on the other.

Mark Nelson is joined this week John Lloyd, the creator of Spitting Image, QI, Blackadder and so much more, with casual stories of the rich and famous and the time he nearly became a police officer. Geordie comedian Sammy Dobson joins in on joining the police, aged four, and tells a fantastic story about a gardening conversation with someone she wasn't expecting. Completing the line-up is Scotland's best beat-boxer, Bigg Taj. Not only is he full of stories of his success and most cringeworthy gigs, he teaches Mark and the other guests how to beat-box.

Friday 9^th February 2024

Joining Mark Nelson this week is one of the best crime writers in the world makes her debut on the show; Val McDermid shares her revenge on University Challenge and how badly a holiday can go. Comedians Karen Dunbar and Raymond Mearns show their competitive sides when faced with a one-note unexpected round, and there are stories of lions, broken down cars, the start of glittering careers and moments of humiliation in the supermarket.
